Tiesto At Circa

Another big event is about to take place, Tiesto at Circa club. Unlike Tiesto at the Ricoh Coliseum this part summer, which was an all ages event, this is going to be a 19+ event and will go until the early morning. Circa club is recognized as one of the more elite Toronto nightclubs as it has hosted events with big names such as Roger Sanchez, David Guetta, Bob Sinclar, and many others. Advanced tickets are going for $40, this will also give you full access to each of Circa club’s three floors.

To a lot of people this came as a surprise that Circa Tiesto was going to take place on such short notice (this Saturday, November 8th). This seems like a really good strategic move over their competition (Guvernment club) as they just announced this big Circa Tiesto event about a week ago. With a big name like Tiesto at Circa, this will be sure to take away from a lot of the Toronto after hours crowds that will usually be at places like Guvernment club and other after hour hot spots. Although Circa club may seem like a big venue for those who have went to one of their weeky Thursday, Friday or Saturday weekly events, but for those who have seen Tiesto before know that usually the venue is a lot bigger and with Circa’s 3000 -4000 person capacity, this should make out to be an electric vibe performance.

As you can see, Tiesto’s fans remain true to his music as thousands of fans make it out where ever and when ever he is. With Tiesto’s In Search of Sunrise tour just ending not too long ago, which had him stop in Quebec, British Columbia, it’s kind of a surprise for him to be back in Toronto (at Circa club) so soon, but you’ll never hear a Tiesto fan ask questions.

We’re at hump day (Wednesday) of the L’Oreal Fashion Week 2008 and it is in full effect. It’s ‘fabulous shows’ have been taking place at Nathan Phillips Square (out in the cold, yes winter has arrived). Although some of the more familiar names like Buffalo David Bittin and Holt Renfrew haven’t appeared much thus far doesn’t mean there hasn’t been a lot of festivities and networking taking place. With over 20 designers so far that have reserved their time slot and have had a chance to show their new designs and collections, the L’Oreal Fashion Week is off to a great start. If your like myself and those brands don’t really interest you, and you’re more interested in the ‘trendy’ category of fashion industry, you might want to check out what’s taking place in some of the Toronto nightclubs.

Monday’s L’Oreal Fashion Week event that took place at Rockwood nightclub (Belvedere Vodka Presents Street Couture) involved a familiar designer to some, as Dealers of the Purple Cloth took to the Toronto nightclubs with girls dressed in what appeared to be some black leather outfit, wearing a mask holding a leash in one hand with a male model at her will. Other then the dark sadistic designs there was some high waist outfits that are hip and popular right now.

Dealers of the Purple Cloth wasn’t holding back with their vibrant colors as their reds lit up the room and the purples cooled it down. It’s a collection you have to see for yourself. L’Oreal Fashion Week 2008 Day #2

Just because Paris Hilton wasn’t at Ultra Supper Club in Toronto this time doesn’t mean the Toronto supper club wasn’t still pumped up, Affliction was at Ultra last night and it looked like bodies had been afflicted, with artsy body paint . As the models showed off their swagger the bad ass appeal of their brand was in full effect. Although some of the shirts weren’t as ‘busy’ as their last collection, it seemed like the trendy Toronto crowd was feeling it.

L’Oreal Fashion Week 2008

Today kicks off the beginning of L’Oreal Fashion Week 2008 in Toronto. Each year the L’Oreal Fashion Week travels to Toronto to show off next year’s spring collections (2009). For the second year in a row the venue will be at Nathan Phillips Square. Last year there was mixed reviews on this location (mostly negative), as they have now been using tents for a lot of the set up. Muzik nightclub was host to the 2007 L’Oreal Fashion week and had great reviews. It’s actually kind of surprising that they would use Nathan Phillips Square again as the location for this year’s Fashion Week.

Like previous years in the past, some of the brands included in the L’Oreal Fashion Week have taken their upcoming collections and have chosen to execute fashion shows in the Toronto nightclubs. This is a smart move considering a lot of their target market are the patrons that attend these Toronto nightclubs, wearing their brands. Kleen Media (Toronto Nightclub Promoter) is a major player in working with these brands to bring their presence inside the Toronto clubs.

Toronto New Years

With Toronto New Years Eve 2009 approaching in a few months a lot of students from U of T, Ryerson, York and other colleges and universities have already started looking into Toronto New Years events. It’s nice to know that some people still like to plan ahead as to what they will be doing for Toronto New Years Eve (unlike myself who waits until the last minute).

I’ve came across a few websites that have given me some tips about how to prepare and what to look out for when it comes to planning my New Years Eve in Toronto. I thought I would share these tips to save some people from having a tragic night.

Toronto NYE

The first thing you should start off with when planning your Toronto NYE is to plan which Toronto New Years Eve Event you will attending. One of the worst things you can do is wait until the last minute to figure out what you want to do. If you procrastinate then you are just going to find out that getting a ticket for the Toronto New Years event that you wanted is now sold out or the price has doubled, or even worse, the.

Now that your Toronto New Years Eve event ticket is in hand it’s time to get dressed. If you can, try to avoid buying something that is completely black, your not going to a funeral, your going out to celebrate! By keeping in touch with the latest fashions and choose an outfit that will have you feeling fresh, and brand new.

Another tip is to not drink too much, too early. Toronto New Years is a long night and there will be plenty of time to get wasted and put a lamp shade over your head. I’m pretty sure you dont want to be passed out in your seat when the clock strikes twelve. Save the shots and funnelling for after midnight, thats when the party really gets started anyways. Make sure not to drink and drive, yes thats right, I’m stating the obvious. This is Toronto New Years eve, everyone is out to celebrate, don’t ruin everyone else’s night (as well as your own) by getting behind the wheel. Just in case you’ve been in a closet the past several years, the Toronto Police is in full effect as they set up their annual R.I.D.E program which consists of random spot checks, nabbing people who drink and drive. There are plenty of limo companies who will have extra employees working that will make sure you don’t have to worry about how your going to get to your Toronto New Years Eve event. Plan b includes cab companies, this is one time of the year that they will allow you to reserve a cab, all you have to do is give your credit card information. This idea will help out a lot of people, especially for those who spend all of their money at the Toronto New Year event that they attend. Finally, plan c (which actually should be plan a), book a hotel. This problem with this is that you have to book your hotel very early (right now!).There are a lot of Toronto hotels but make sure to book your room well in advance. Don’t wait until the last minute to book one or you’ll be stuck sleeping on some stained sheets or with the cockroaches.

Liberty Grand is known for hosting some big name events, particularly Liberty Grand New Years. New Years at Liberty Grand has been taking place the last few years and has become more successful each year.

Until recently I thought that Liberty Grand New Years was their main ‘clubbing’ event that took place, that is until I came across this Liberty Grand Halloween event that will be taking place there this year. This is probably the biggest Toronto Halloween event in or around the GTA.

Toronto Halloween events are some of the most popular events of the year. Everyone dresses up, the Toronto nightclubs get packed and the city turns into one giant freak show. This year is going to be no exception, especially since Toronto Halloween falls on a Friday. This means that there will be Toronto Halloween events all weekend long as all the best Toronto nightclubs.

Some of you are well aware where the best events are taking place. For others that don’t, check out the list of events I put together, I’ve personally been to the pimp and hoe party at Lot 332 nightclub the last few years and it’s been off the hook.

Circa Nightclub’s One Year Anniversary

This weekend marks the one year anniversary for Circa Nightclub. It seems like it was only yesterday when Peter Gatien opened Circa Night Club to give Toronto it’s second mega club (Guvernment Nightclub being the other). As we expected Peter is bringing some big name DJ’s in to celebrate the occasion. Headlining is Roger Sanchez, along with Victor Calderone and John Acquaviva.

Don’t forget that this event is taking place on Sunday night, not their usual Saturday night event, which is still a great event to attend, Doman and Pettigrew always play a great set and keep the crowd dancing until the early morning. This weekend expect Circa Nightclub to be very busy, the only night I think it will be more busy then this weekend will be for Circa Nightclub New Years.

TIFF 2008

TIFF 2008 Schedule

The Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF 2008) is set to kick off September 4th and runs until September 13th. This means that some major big name stars like Brad Pitt, Jennifer Aniston, Paris Hilton, Natalie Portman, and others will be spotted in Toronto.

Although the main attraction for TIFF 2008 is having all of these big name celebrities travel north of the border to Toronto, we can’t forget the reason they are here, to promote their new films. Now because these are TIFF 2008 movies that you and I have probably never heard about, it’s hard to tell who’s staring in what film and what the film is about.

TIFF Parties 2008

With all the hype of TIFF 2008 and the big name celebrities in town, there are TIFF parties 2008 that will be taking place, allowing people to get a chance to party with the TIFF 2008 stars. What could be better then having your favorite TIFF 2008 celebrities at your favorite Toronto night club.

Unless you are really involved in the Toronto clubbing industry or know a Toronto promoter, you may not find out which celebrity will be at what Toronto nightclub before it’s too late.
